Embodied in the time honored tradition of magic and monsters comes a story which has the Del Toro family and friends scrambling to save each other as the malevolent forces of darkness plot to usurp the relatively peaceful existence Ghoulsville now enjoys. The
beginning of the novel takes off fast as one Jack Spratt's (Jack-O-The-Lantern's) home is invaded resulting in the hard to kill immortal, gone missing as well is something of great importance, stolen from him.
Next, Professor Barister Del Toro and a few of his student teachers are taken under arrest in connection with the missing Jack Spratt. The story ensues as Gabbie (Barister's daughter) becomes embroiled into the whole mess. Frank Wood begins a journey with action and never let's his foot off the gas, introducing character after character in this supernatural, Halloweenish plot of twists and turns. Anyone who loves Halloween and all the creepy, crawly aspects within as well as the mysterious hauntings of magic, mixed with modern day living; you will truly enjoy this tale. The book reads fast and has many personalities which makes it real easy to connect with the characters.
