The novel takes off with the three main characters traveling to the British area. Upon getting there they find their money has been stolen, skin heads attack them, and the police are

questioning them for murder. Great start to a trip right? I found the plot enticing since it takes off immediately from the get go. The idea is for the characters to experience being impoverished and finding ways to survive on the streets and making an honest dollar. They encounter others like themselves, but have a special talents for committing to street performances to financial survival. Hence the name Buskers, which I had no idea about until I came upon this novel. Getting creative for finding places to bath, eat and sleep is part of the Busker way, apparently. No one sets out to be a busker, it just becomes a way of life to those truly born to entertain. Overall, I found the novel interesting as it digs into a life I couldn't really fathom, nor comprehend. What's more, it is hard to imagine someone wanting this kind of life. Anyway, it reads easy and the author does a good job moving the story along. It makes a decent read on a topic most people didn't even know existed. Worth a read.
