Stone is exactly as the name is perceived, yet what an interesting character to create in conjunction with his new traveling companion, Rhone. Speaking through thought to Rhone and thrust into an exorbitant amount of adventure, it's hard not to get caught up in liking

these characters. Some of the action takes place in a place called Skragmoore with the very fat and in-charge Commissioner and his nefarious plots. I just produced last year a Western/Paranormal novel of short stories. I've never really read anything like that until then, now I'm seeing a Sci/Fi element to the Western side of story telling. The first I'd seen was a movie called Cowboys and Aliens which was a little far-fetched for my liking, but this kind of plot seems to work. It does have a bit of a Westworld vibe going though when dealing with escape and discovering there's more than meets the eye. Still, talking to Stone starts that off right away. Of course other characters are introduced in the story which comes to a crescendo at the end of the book, but the author did a good job leaving some loose ends untied to introduce the next novel in his series. Worth a look. The cover of the novel is pretty well done and the reading goes faster than I thought it would.
