The structure of the book threw me off at first. The title was on the right hand margin and the chapters format was a little wonky for me. The author also put the page numbers on a rotation to the middle of the page instead of the bottom. I actually liked that cool feature. Ultimately the author creates a book which gets down to the brass tacks with short, manageable reading sections. It talks about wealth and material possessions in conjunction with how we live our lives, feel about ourselves, mental/emotional state based on our need or perceived notion of wealth. Finding purpose, relationships, perspective on life, family and doing things which enrich our lives becomes the focal point for finding happiness and worth. Meaning and importance versus wealth, money, stature becomes essential in the building blocks of growth and happiness. I felt like the author did a decent job of giving examples and making suggestions to consider for anyone who is wanting positive change in their lives. It is easier said than done to be sure, but still it is nice to hear it. I've read a number of books and many of things they talk about we already have a basic understanding of and are already aware of it. However, in life we tend to get lost at times or wrapped up pretty tight in some of the choices we make and need to be reminded of how to break out of that funk. This book is pretty good for reminders, however I feel it doesn't truly get super in-depth with how to transcend, but it is not a large piece of reading and is designed for basic concepts. Overall a decent read and worth checking out.
