Investing for Teenagers:7 Fun and Easy Investment Strategies for the Modern Teen

Writer's picture: josh banksjosh banks

The author's introduction brought me in immediately by asking the reader why any of us should trust them or care to listen to their advice. It follows with a good background story

which feels genuine and relatable; especially to a young teen. I wish I would have had parents who knew anything about money when I was growing up, because I was an extremely hard worker and definitely would have been more frugal with my money by understanding the value of investing/saving/spending over the course of my potential, professional career. Learning about interest/types of savings/investments/understanding wants versus needs/budgets/diversification/markets/types of retirement plans/stocks/bonds/mutual funds, ETF's/return rates/shares/S&P 500/REITs...the list goes on. I knew two words, checking and savings at a bank. NO concept of how to make money or get started. This book is a potential gold mine to a teen if they have the work ethic and fortitude of an open mind. It should be mandatory to teach today's youth the power of money along with other core classes like Math, English, Social Studies and Science. If you have a teen, get this book and make them read it. Explain concepts to them and if you don't know it, huh, maybe you too need to read it and benefit from its' advice.
