Starts quickly with the main character getting screwed over by her now ex-fiancé, Larson Day. Turns out the bastard had been cheating on her with a co-worker. (always happens at work right?) Anyway, she is now in the throws of trying to go through the fact she had gone through all the wedding prep only to find out too late about her jerk boyfriend by fueling her need to forget with alcohol and rage. Estelle is warned by her friend Clara to close down the drinking, but you know that never happens. The story is set and Estelle takes off to have a night out on the town by herself. (Safe choices be damned...) And then she meets Carter in her drunkin' stupor, with poor decision making on her side, she wakes up the next day at his place. That's right people, the WALK OF SHAME!
The story is told from the 1st person point of view which makes enjoying Estelle's character more relatable and I love her internal logic. It flows fast and is an easy read. It has a Sex in the City meets the Hallmark Channel vibe going for it. Light-hearted and funny with a twist only a romance saga can have. Enjoy!
